Welcome to Suncoast Select Volleyball!

 

We are excited to host our inaugural tryouts as we launch our first club season for 2026–2027.

Our mission is to build a competitive, athlete-focused program, dedicated to developing players both on and off the court.

 

At Suncoast Select, our goal is to grow the sport of volleyball throughout the Sarasota area. We are committed to helping athletes improve for their school teams while also supporting those who aspire to compete at the collegiate level. Our program emphasizes a structured, competitive environment where athletes are challenged to grow individually, while contributing to team success.

 

We believe club teams should be formed by selecting the strongest players in each age group, regardless of school affiliation. By bringing together athletes from across the region, we aim to build cohesive, high-level teams centered on skill, effort, and commitment. As a new program, we are focused on establishing a culture of excellence, strong coaching, and long-term player development.

 

We understand that joining a new club is an important decision, and we are committed to making the process positive, transparent, and informative for both players and families. We encourage you to review all available information and reach out with any questions.

 

Our coaching staff will evaluate players and place them on teams and at levels that best support their development. While we aim to keep athletes within their USAV-designated age groups, there may be situations where it benefits a player to compete at a higher level. These decisions will be made by our coaching staff, with consideration given to both athletic development and team dynamics.

 

Our Travel Teams are available for athletes ages 12U through 18U. The season runs from November through April. Teams primarily compete in USA Volleyball (USAV) events. Each team will have a minimum of 3 practices per week and attend 7 to 9 events throughout the season.

This program represents the core of our club volleyball experience. Practices are designed to be fast-paced, competitive, and development-focused. Our coaching staff brings valuable experience, having competed at both club and high school levels. Many are also educators who take pride in breaking down skills and teaching strategies in a clear, positive, and effective manner.

Club team tryouts take place in July, with practices beginning in November. The cost for Travel Teams is typically $4500-$5500, with monthly payment plans available.
