Lori brings a strong playing background and over 15 years of coaching experience to the court. A Venice, Florida native, she was a four-year player at Venice High School, earning a starting role as a freshman before continuing her career at the collegiate level. Lori played four years as a libero at Valdosta State University, where she developed a deep understanding of the game, particularly in defensive play and ball control. Following her playing career, Lori has dedicated herself to coaching athletes at the middle and high school levels. She is especially passionate about teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, focusing on younger players to ensure they build strong, technically sound skills as they progress to higher levels of competition. She later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked and coached alongside her sister, running a middle school program at Marvin Ridge Middle School while also assisting at the high school level. During that time, she met her husband, Grayson, and the two have now been married for 10 years. Now back in Venice, Lori and her husband are raising their three children—Ronan, Hurlee, and Cian—who are often seen in the gym alongside her. Outside of coaching, Lori enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, going to the beach, boating, and embracing the outdoors whenever possible. Lori is dedicated to helping athletes build a strong foundation in volleyball while growing into confident, disciplined individuals on and off the court.
Tanner Steigler
Coach
With experience competing in beach volleyball, my passion for the game extends beyond playing into coaching, where I’m currently entering my third year. I’ve gained valuable experience working with athletes at different levels, including serving as an assistant coach for HEAT Varsity, head coach for HEAT JV, and assistant coach for SVC 13 Teal 1. My focus as a coach is not only developing strong, skilled athletes, but also helping players grow into confident, positive individuals on and off the court. Outside of volleyball, I work as a Sticker Production Manager for Cleetus McFarland. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, attending car shows, and, of course, playing more volleyball. I pride myself on being dedicated, hardworking, and committed to continuous growth. I value building meaningful relationships, embracing new challenges, and helping others reach their full potential while becoming the best version of myself.
